Hermitage Primary School Toilet Renovation

Project Overview:

HMM Ltd. was  brought on board to give the boys’ and girls’ toilets at Hermitage Primary School a much-needed makeover. The goal was to modernise the facilities, making them safer, cleaner, and more user-friendly for the students and staff.

Boys Toilets - Before

Boys Toilet - After

What we did

Fresh New Walls: We started by taking down all the old fixtures, like mirrors, soap dispensers, and basins. Then, we prepped the walls and installed brand-new, shiny white panels from floor to ceiling, giving the room a clean and modern look. Once that was done, we carefully put the mirrors, soap dispensers, and other items back in place, making sure everything was sealed and secure.

Updated Sinks and Dryers: We installed a new vanity unit with plenty of storage space underneath. Two brand-new sinks with easy-to-use sensor taps were added, along with a new hand dryer for quick and efficient drying.

New Cubicle and Toilet: We replaced the old toilet with a new, low-height toilet that’s easier for younger children to use. The new cubicle is sturdy, brightly coloured, and sized just right for primary school students. We also hid the pipes behind the walls to keep the space looking neat and tidy.

New Urinals: For the urinals, we built a false wall to hide all the plumbing and added small access panels so everything can be easily maintained without disturbing the room’s appearance.

New Flooring: The old flooring was removed and replaced with durable, slip-resistant flooring that’s easy to clean and maintain. The new black flooring not only looks sleek but is also built to last.

Girls Toilets - Before

Girls Toilet - After

What we did

Bright New Panels: Just like in the boys’ toilets, we removed all the old fixtures and covered the walls with new white panels from top to bottom. This gave the room a fresh, bright appearance that’s easy to clean.

Stylish Vanity Unit: We installed a new vanity unit with lockable storage space underneath, perfect for keeping things tidy. Two new sinks with sensor taps were added, along with a hand dryer, making the facilities more convenient for the students.

New Cubicles and Toilets: The girls’ toilets received three new cubicles, each in cheerful colours that brighten up the space. We installed new low-height toilets that are perfect for younger children. Just like in the boys’ toilets, we hid the plumbing behind the walls for a cleaner look.

New Flooring: We replaced the old flooring with the same durable, slip-resistant flooring used in the boys’ toilets. The new flooring is not only practical but also adds a touch of modern style to the room.

Challenges and Solutions:

Throughout the project, we made sure to follow all the necessary safety guidelines, especially when dealing with hidden pipes and new fixtures. We worked closely with the school to minimise disruption and ensure the students could safely continue their day-to-day activities.

Outcomes:

The refurbishment was completed on time and without any major issues. The newly renovated boys’ and girls’ toilets now provide a clean, modern, and safe environment for the students. Hermitage Primary School was delighted with the results, noting that the updated facilities have made a significant improvement in the school’s overall environment.

Client Feedback:

The school administration expressed their appreciation for the smooth process and the high quality of the work. They were particularly pleased with how the new facilities are both functional and visually appealing, making the school a better place for everyone. This project highlights HMM’s dedication to delivering top-notch services that meet the specific needs of each client, making spaces safer, more modern, and more enjoyable for everyone who uses them.
